ABC Scripture Cards WORK!
I cannot believe it’s coming up on the year anniversary
of the launch of Lil Light O’ Mine.
October 10 is the day this site went live
and ABC Scripture Cards started shipping out to homes all over.

ELLA AND I ARE MOTIVATED!
We are going to have ALL 26 MEMORIZED by October 10!
WILL YOU JOIN US IN ALL? HALF? 1/4?
(If you do all 26, please notify me – I want to write your child a letter.)
Not sure we can commit the scripture references, but we will know the verses.
That might shock you that we haven’t learned them sooner.
However, that’s 26 verses for a 5-year-old.
And, my motto is to always keep God and His word fun and light-hearted in the home.
As soon as the subject appears boring, I’m off to something else.
Jesus is far from boring and I want to protect her impression of Him and His word.
Just as I like to keep things real on the blog,
you get the real deal videos.
No 2nd cuts, no editing.
You get the attitudes, the giggles, the sass, whatever mood we are in that day.
THEY ARE LOOOONNNGGGG.
So, if you make it to the end. I am impressed.
Comment and give me a paint color on that home project and I’ll know you hung in there.
PART 1 – I have to freeze to correct/threathen/bribe…
Part 2… we continue after the threatening…
HOW ARE THE CARDS GOING IN YOUR HOME?
HAVE YOU HAD ANY NEAT MOMENTS
OR STORIES YOU’D LIKE TO SHARE?
I will share a couple.
Larson has done fewer and shorter ones because of her age (3).
She spouted out the “N” verse the other day in its entirety and I totally got teary.
That is not a verse I have taught her, she must have heard me with Ella.
What a long one and a powerful one for a 3-year-old to say so beautifully.
That’s right my baby.
No eye has seen, no ear has heard what God has prepared for you my Larson!
Also, Ella and I got to V tonight and whoah did the conversations get interesting about eternal life.
She hasn’t made any official decisions yet. Although told me tonight that she already did that when she was 3. 🙂 Hmm
Then, she said… “Mom, I want to go there and be with him one day. Like really talk to Jesus.”
Gulp. Tears.
You can read the LONG story of the ABC Scripture Cards here if you are new.
When picking each verse with my mentor, my goal was to show kids the many sides of God and His Word.
I included simple yet powerful truths about Him, some basic principles, and some exciting things to know about Him.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t want them to only hear God’s word when they are in trouble.
I want them to hear it for encouragement, for comfort and much more.
Thank you, thank you to Ari at Boy Meets Girl for taking a dream/vision in my head and designing them so beautifully.
Thank you Kim and the team at RGI in Atlanta for printing them so perfectly and getting us off the ground.
GOOD NEWS!
They are back in stock!
