Gosh it feels good to just decide and move forward Gosh it feels good to just decide and move forward. I’ve been frozen with decisions and health challenges. And I’m ready to get back out there speaking, writing and encouraging in the area of parenting. I’m imperfect, fail often and still growing - but I have a deep passion to encourage others in their journey. New site and what’s new … in latest blog post. See link in profile. Ron got to pick the spring break plan. He said he Ron got to pick the spring break plan. He said he wanted zero stress and to just chill with our fam. His plan was spot on. It’s just what we needed. Also…. We are in that stage where we the parents are basically photographers for the teens. I’m here for it- because they didn’t always want to get dressed up and actually bathe. These 3 humans are my favorites.

Okay let’s talk about it. Swipe for picture last Okay let’s talk about it. Swipe for picture last week. I’m not sure how to make this short, but I’ll try. I’m super passionate about this topic and also want to tread lightly because my words matter as a mom of daughters. This headshot is several years old. I need a new one but frankly haven’t made time. Partly because I forgot to book a photo session in time for this event. Mostly because I don’t feel like myself. With medications, Covid, aging and hormones - naturally I’ve put on some weight. And I could absolutely make some better choices on food and exercise. Let me preach to us myself and all of us. My worth is not found in my size. My gifts and calling have zero to do with my jeans, what brand clothes I wear or how good my brows look. Your worth and ability to use your gifts cannot hinge on outward appearance. I’ve wanted to hide many times and frankly. I have hid. Satan would love me home… but I’m getting back out there and fighting through the insecurity. I believe the work God has asked me to do matters. And your work matters too. I just don’t feel like I’ll get to heaven and Jesus is going to mention my contouring or abs. He does ask us to steward everything. Am i being a good steward of all he’s entrusted to me - from my body to my mind to my heart to unique gifts and more? I know too well how quickly confidence fades and shame sets in. Our culture is brutal and social media truly sucks. It is sending a horrific message about perfection to girls and women. Let’s fight against the idolization of looks - by keeping them in proper perspective. Just like I’ve told my girls and I’ll tell you - the most beautiful women I’ve ever encountered radiate. From the inside. Yes take care of your health, but spend as much or more time with your heart . Your faith and joy and love will shine through in a way that no filter can touch. You are loved. You are beautiful. You are enough. Edited to clarify a couple points.
As many of you know, I took a couple years off fro As many of you know, I took a couple years off from speaking and writing and all the things because of some health challenges. I’m feeling so much better and have started to inch my way back out there. Why? Because I truly love encouraging parents and specifically moms. This event has a massive group of imperfect parents and I love who they have on board. I’m delighted to be apart of this digital event and would love for you to check it out.
