Daddies, Daughters & Passionate Moms

April 15, 2013 //  by Courtney

This happens often to me – I get so behind that if I do not dump this brain, it will explode.

So enjoy a few photo updates from our family and other random tidbits that must unload.

(It’s all about ballet, buns, birthday parties and pointed toes these days. That makes mom real happy.)

It’s safe to say I’m behind.

No, I have never been paid to read a book.

I do get about 10-15 emails a day asking to review something (pretty sure my email got sold, oh well).

I typically only read and review an author I choose or admire or a friend.

I REALLY REALLY enjoy reading about motherhood and parenting and faith.

I had to mentally cut my list.

So, here’s what’s left on the nightstand for right now.

I’ll recap and review all of them when I am done.

PLUS ONE MORE

OUR LIFE

Before Ron, I had visions of a daddy and a daughter. I knew I wanted this so badly. I came from a family where a dad loved his daughters well.

When I met Ron and then we had girls – it has been more than my heart can take some days.

Larson had her turn at “Daddy & Me Day” at her school last week.

Her face tells it all.

Then, Ella had “Daddy/Daughter Dance” at her school Saturday night.

And their faces say it all.

I am so grateful he FULLY understands the power of his words and action.

He delights in them. He gasps at their beauty. He dates them. He notices them. He affirms all of them – not just their beauty.

He is their earliest impression of their Heavenly Father

and he is doing one amazing job.

I am filled with gratitude this morning for a Father for my girls – a gift from above. I never knew what joy it could be to watch this relationship flourish from the side lines and be so utterly fulfilled.

How’s that for random city?:)

Happy MONDAY!
