Father’s Day Reminder

June 13, 2012 //  by Courtney

 Morning everyone!

I think I got so excited about Father’s Day a couple weeks ago.

I posted my thoughts WAY TOO EARLY.

So,  go back and check out what some dads said about

WHAT THEY WANT!

I had a response since then that I’ll quote here. It’s precious.

My ideal fathers day would be Sunday morning at church (I’ve slept in of course, while she got breakfast for the kids), followed by lunch with family (maybe a picnic with some of my favorite foods), then a fun outing with the kiddos – no day can be the best without them. After that maybe mom has arranged a sitter so we can go out together for an activity of my choosing OR she’s arranged for me to get together with some guy friends for a guy activity (playing bball, a baseball game, manly movie, etc.). Gifts are totally unnecessary for me. I’m a words-of-affirmation kinda guy, so a nice card telling me how she feels about my fathering and husbanding would be a nice keepsake of the day.

We are working on sending our cards off this morning for the grandfathers.

Getting used to this distance thing. ;(

ANOTHER THOUGHT…

Is there anyone in your life or your kids’ life that has played a fatherly role that might enjoy a surprise Father’s Day card and extra THANKS?

WHAT DO YOU HAVE PLANNED FOR FATHER’S DAY?

We’re cooking up some fun things over here.

Although, our daddy says: Pizza and a nap, please.
