As each year progresses,
I am learning my style of parenting.
I love when my kids learn through fun.
I love when I can sneak in a character trait
right into an experience and they don’t even roll their eyes!
I love when teaching looks less like a lecture
and more like an adventure.
I LOVE the month of November.
I love getting their hearts set on the idea of
WHAT BETTER TIME OF YEAR
to count our blessings and do it consistently
so a lesson sinks deep and a fun family tradition is started.
(with a twist … keep reading)
Last year, I made a board at home and we thanked God for one item or person per day.
This year, my Ella is all about “words” and “reading”
so I had a new thought and concept…
(similar to ABC Scripture Cards – I believe anything is a WIN when it decorates AND teaches! Score!)
As usual, I called Katie.
(because her eye and execution is always 100x better)
“Katie, I want a banner that says “thankful” or grateful” and then has a
pocket somehow where we can collect words that start with each letter.”
So, T – we are thankful for
TADPOLES with MEESE
And… she came back with this!
With pockets on the back for collecting our gratitude notes or blessings!
Um, ok ….. wow!
And, she even did the most amazing tutorial for you.
Look to the caption for the step-by-step directions.
I LOVE THIS, THANK YOU KATIE!!!
1. It is so so so cute in the home.
2. It is something we can walk by and do that is FUN with our families that is planting seeds
teaching GRATITUDE and THANKFULNESS
